More Absolutely Necessary Library Furniture!

I’ve been looking at more shelves, tables, chairs, etc. — and, as usual, I’ve found tons of things to covet!

Just in case I can’t get those amazingly cool Italian shelves I posted about last time, we could maybe install these:

The Spell Shelf!

The Spell Shelf!

It’s designed by Da-Eun Song, and you can find out about it at Yanko Design, but I can’t find out how to buy it,(and I’m good at research)!

Well, I wrote to the company to ask who distributed it — and maybe they’ll get back to me.

As for seating, how about this, for reading your favorite baseball books?

Baseball Glove Chair

Alternatively, how about one of these in the Nature section (or near the fairy and folktales?)
Big Plush Ladybug

Plush Frog

Or, if we can’t get the catcher’s mitt chair, a baseball bean bag like this is not too expensive — or we could get a variety of other sports balls, plus some animals, other than just the frog or ladybug.

Baseball bean bag

I think kids of all ages might enjoy sports ball beanbags like this!

Well, that’s it for this evening. I found that you can order these beanbags in the United States from Cool Kids Furniture. I’ll let you know if I find anything else awesome and completely necessary for our new Children’s Library!

  1. Cute Idea! New blog on the Hx. of the Ladybug:

  2. Thank you! — and thanks for directing me to the ladybug site. Fascinating!

  3. Ooooooh, I LOVE the frog! And the mitt. And the ladybug. Hmmmmm, how in the world is a children’s librarian to decide!

  4. I may just have to get them ALL! Right?!

(But actually, my budget is probably going to decide for me…… ;-( )
